Alnathan was the second son of John and Anna Jepson.  He was born in Beach, Oregon on October 17, 1912.  He was three when the family moved to Eugene, Oregon.

 brothers Francis and John

            On June 26, 1930, when Alnathan was 17, he died of a ruptured appendix. He is buried in West Lawn Cemetery, Eugene, Oregon, but not in same plot as his parents.
